These sculptural vessels, inspired by opposites, symbolize the constant shift between the dynamic forces around us.
Each bowl is hand cast, ground and then polished by hand, treated with a water-based, non-toxic concrete sealer and finished with wax. The base is fabricated from solid 1/4" and 3/8” alloy and full-grain hand stitched leather.

I was recently commissioned to produced two custom Polar bears for the Norwegian Bliss cruise ship. A fitting animal as polar bears spend a majority of their life at sea and are also named the maritime bear.

Polished Concrete & Bronze

Inspired by the sea and its graceful inhabitants, Cachola represents a symbol of patience and persistence. Comprised of hand-polished concrete and solid cast bronze, each sculpture is 28" long The name Cachola is derived from the the sperm whale's Portuguese name meaning, "Big Head".
It has taken me a better part of two years to develop my process from initial modeling to materials and mold making. As my techniques have improved, so to have the sculptures. Endless amounts of polishing and grinding gives each piece an individual personality, as well as one of a kind characteristics and textures inherently found in concrete
The latest piece, of an ongoing alloy series, utilizes the lost-wax casting process where I hand carve each tail and fluke in wax and then send it to the local foundry for casting. This particular piece was cast in bronze with a solid bronze base.

Evo, short for evolution. Evo was produced on the premise that we as humans must evolve our habits and ways of thinking; rather than plunder our natural resources for financial gain we can maintain and coexist with the beauty that is our planet. I hope these elephants serve as a reminder to act with kindness to ALL species, to live with love, and to treat animals with the respect they deserve.
Each sculpture is hand cast, polished and sealed with a water based sealant and then buffed with an all natural wax. Each Evo is unique to itself, exhibiting various characteristics inherent to concrete.

I had the privilege to design and create eighteen custom concrete light pendants for Austin's newest restaurant, ATX Cocina. Working alongside Warbach lighting whom would handle the lighting, hardware, and installation I was tasked with designing and building six variations of pendants to fill the partitioned dining areas of the restaurant.

As the first of the platonic solids, the tetrahedron or four sided equilateral triangle, forms the foundation for all perceived matter in our plane of existence. It is the universal symbol of the archetypal trinity in religious systems and the fundamental origin of divine proportions in sacred geometry. These geometries generate our music, art, poetry, and sciences, and are also contained within our beings and our consciousness. When One chooses to CENTER and BALANCE the triad of the Mind, Body, and Spirit complex; then One will begin the process of transcending the vortex of consciousness into the true reality of connectedness in all that is.
